It was always darkly hilarious to see the anti-test people try to explain that the SAT is a driver of inequality because it can be "gamed" by rich families through access to tutors.

Like the SAT is bad, but sports, extracurriculars, and admissions essays that were totally written by the student without a Roman phalanx of high-priced consultants are fine?

Saying the SAT should be banned due to disadvantaging poor students is the sophist equivalent of telling your girlfriend that she should sleep with you on the first date because casual sex is empowering and feminist.
