What I've learned from the rise of Substack is that when Google Reader shut down a zillion years ago instead of moving to Feedly people started getting posts by email. Which is fascinating to me. I think it's a great model for you! When I have steady income again I'd like to become a paid subscriber :)

Thanks Sarah and Morgan. Honestly, I am very thankful to have people reading what I write and talking with me about it. That's worth a lot to me.

Penelope, I used to like substack a lot more, before they tried to get rwmalonemd to give the Stripe payment people details of who was paying him for substack subscriptions. After his gofundme for legal expenses and a lawyer's letter, stripe have backed off, a week ago, or so. That has made me a leery of subscribing, but I will one of these days as before all that, I loved the substack concept.

What people have told me is there are Nazis on Substack. Frankly, I think there are Nazis everywhere, but maybe that's just because I'm Jewish and read tons of Holocaust literature. Anyway, Substack is great for sending out emails to a big mailing list. So for now, that's good for me.

Well now I really need to make a Substack if this is where the really cool people hang out.

It’s not all cool people. Some of us just hang around hoping to someday be the Titanic of something 🙃
